The Guest of Honour for the evening was the Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Hon. Lisa Raitt. The evening began with Riding President Keith Fleming welcoming everyone and introducing Nina Tangri.
He spoke of her significant contributions to the riding party, her efforts in helping those in need in Canada and around the world and her relentless dedication to helping children in receiving quality education.
Nina also spoke of her passion for the people of Ontario, the wasteful spending of the Liberals and then introduced the guest of honour, Lisa Raitt.
Lisa spoke of Nina’s qualities and how she would make an excellent representative for Ontario. She also took questions from the attendees, with some asking about the unfair tax changes.
There were many other dignitaries who were in attendance on Thursday evening. Former MP Bob Dechert, Ontario PC Party Rick Dykstra, 1st VP Jag Badwal, GTA West VP Tony Vella, former Senator Dr. Asha Seth and Harmun Sandhu, who was a co-chair for the campaign, were all in attendance. Nina also praised Athar Aryan Aamir, her competitor for the nomination, for encouraging the youth to participate in the political process.
The crowd were engaged and are eagerly awaiting Nina’s victory on June 7, 2017.
Nina thanked her supporters and contributed to the crowd’s excitement when she mentioned that she fully expects Patrick Brown to become the next Premier of Ontario.
